Erik van Veenendaal

Introduction to business-driven TMMi, the TMMi initiative and the TMMi model. Test Maturity Model Integration (TMMi) is growing in popularity and is now the de facto global standard for improving testing processes. An overview is provided of the TMMi initiative and model, with a particular focus on how TMMi supports business-focused testing improvement. The business benefits (and costs) that can be achieved with TMMi will be discussed. However, TMMi is also often misunderstood and seen as an overly rigid model that requires detailed processes to comply with. In this presentation we will discuss, based on numerous practical experiences, how to avoid this, achieve business benefits while keeping things as simple as possible

Erik van Veenendaal (www.erikvanveenendaal.nl) is a leading international consultant and trainer, as well as a recognized expert in the field of software testing, quality and requirements engineering. He is the author of several professional books and articles, one of the lead developers of the TMap testing methodology and the TMMi test improvement model, and currently the CEO of the TMMi Foundation. Erik is a frequent speaker and provides tutorials at international testing and quality conferences. In recognition of his major contribution to the field of testing, Erik received the European Testing Excellence Award and the International Testing Excellence Award from the ISTQB.

Clive Bates

Clive Bates is a recognized expert in software quality assurance and Training Operations Manager at Planit Testing Services in the UK. Passionate about the continued development of skills in his field, he shares his expertise not only as a trainer, but also as a speaker at international conferences. A founding member of the ISEB certification scheme in 1996 and an active director of the UKTB, he is also a TMMi lead assessor and plays a key role in the introduction of local TMMi chapters, contributing significantly to the evolution of insurance software quality.

Michael JIMENEZ

Michael JIMENEZ joined DILA in 2017 after having held various positions as business project manager, with subcontracting management, for sensitive and critical applications for the proper functioning of the State Council's missions (management of monitoring files draft laws and decrees). Initially project manager on the state chain, Michael then took responsibility for the DILA Revenue Department, a position he has held since 2020.

Mark Summers

North American perspective and how to leverage TMMi to quickly mature testing capabilities within an organization that might not be interested in obtaining a formal assessment (virtual in english)

Mark Summers is a software quality assurance leader with more than two decades of experience, currently leading QA Radius LLC and the PBM Quality Center of Excellence at CVS Health. He established a methodology focused on defect prevention and process optimization at QA Radius, significantly improving IT efficiency at many Fortune 500 companies. At CVS Health, he created and led a Center of Excellence Quality, overseeing more than 450 quality professionals. Mark has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of TMMi America since January 2020, helping to improve software testing standards in the United States.

The Canadian Software Testing Board (CSTB) is the Canadian branch of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), promoting education and testing for excellence in software testing. Founded on January 12, 2007, the CSTB is one of the many national branches of the ISTQB throughout the world. Its directors, all volunteers, are active experts in the field of software testing and quality assurance in Canada.

With a strong background in computer science, he holds two graduate degrees in software engineering and health informatics. With twenty years of experience, he has helped various companies, large and small, optimize their development processes. As a certified TMMi professional, he is a recognized expert in software testing, with comprehensive skills in test writing, automation, integration and continuous deployment. He co-founded Zentelia to realize his passion for producing quality software, taking on leadership roles and contributing to various large-scale projects in the healthcare sector and beyond.

Martin-Pierre Roy

Martin-Pierre Roy is an expert in the software field with more than 25 years of experience and a degree in computer science from Laval University. He has excelled in various roles ranging from development to software architecture, as well as management. As a software architect at Cardinal Health, Martin-Pierre helped create medical IT systems requiring FDA (510K) certification. He has also held senior management positions, including director and vice president of research and development, and vice president of product management. His mastery of software development optimization, through the application of the most innovative methods in the industry, is indisputable. In 2016, he put his experience and know-how to good use by co-founding Zentelia, a company dedicated to software quality assurance.

Automation expert and quality strategist, trainer

With over 20 years of experience, Donald Marcotte is an expert in test automation and architecture in the healthcare and insurance industries, focusing on implementing cost-effective quality strategies. Before joining the renowned software quality assurance firm, Zentelia, in 2016, he contributed to major health surveillance projects in the United States and was recognized with the Chairman Award at Cardinal Health. His passion for quality and his commitment to the reputation and integrity of businesses characterize him.

Danny Paradis

Solutions architect, specialist in automation and trainer;

With more than 25 years of experience and a DEC in IT from La Pocatière, he specialized in automated quality assurance, notably as an architect of test environments at Ticketmaster, where he implemented testing across North America. Recognized for his ability to create tailor-made test environments and integrate the most advanced technologies, he joined Zentelia in 2016, a leading firm in software quality assurance.

Julie Papineau

Business development and quality assurance manager, trainer

Since 2001, she has been passionate about quality assurance, guiding teams towards a quality support approach and adapting practices for continuous delivery. It challenges mindsets around quality and testing in various areas, aiming to quickly deliver value to customers. Fascinated by BDD, TDD, automated testing, continuous delivery and DevOps, she is constantly motivated to share her knowledge and learn.

Redha Fekhar

Expert in software engineering With solid training in software quality;

With over twenty years of experience in marketing and sales, Redha excels in creating testing strategies and implementing test cases. An expert in test automation and defect management tools, he is proficient in a variety of programming languages and operating systems.

He has led manual and automatic test campaigns, writing test plans, preparing test environments, and executing test cases with tools such as Test Link, Selenium, and Robot. Redha is committed to adding value to every project, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

Michel Boies

Quality Strategist, Test Specialist, Coach in improving Quality Assurance practices, Trainer

Michel Boies, with a master's degree in geomatics and a DEC in computer management system, has more than 25 years of experience in information technology, with a 20-year specialization in software quality assurance. He has established robust practice improvement processes in various companies. Since 2021 at Zentelia, he has guided organizations towards excellence in quality, using the TMMi model, and shares his passion by teaching the ISTQB® Certified Tester training at foundation level.
